Since the public release of OpenAI’s ChatGPT just over one year ago—and the subsequent release of numerous other generative AI tools—many users have embraced the productivity benefits of gen AI and large language models. However, though end user adoption is high, many IT and security leaders share concerns about the use of these technologies in the workplace.
But despite these concerns, less than half of organizations are currently monitoring their employees’ use of AI, only 46% have acceptable use policies in place, and only 42% train users on the safe use of these tools.
